This Rosewood was purchased from the late Joseph Wallo in Arlington VA. In the 60s and 70s India would still ship rosewood logs out of the country and their production was of forest grown trees. Nowadays, all the Indian rosewood on the market is plantation grown in India, Malaysia, or Indonesia. Wallo bought the wood from a German supplier who cut up the wood into guitar sets. The sets that Tom Rein has are stamped "Made in Germany"(!)
