This model was offered in 1997 and can no longer be ordered as a new guitar. A total of 223 were actually made.
- Indian rosewood back & sides on this 000-14 fret Martin Guitar
- The body is finished with Polished Lacquer
- The top is Polished Lacquer with a Vintage Toner
- Sitka Spruce top
- Dovetail Neck joint
- Scalloped- 1/4" top braces
- D-45 style rosette
- Sparkling D-45 purfling
- OM style, faux tortoise, beveled pickguard
- Faux Tortoise end piece & heelcap
- Faux Tortoise body & fretboard binding - very attractive!
- Mahogany Low Profile neck
- Indian rosewood headstock faceplate with C.F.Martin block abalone pearl logo
- Waverly tuning machines with Ivoroid buttons (1 new replacement tuner)
- Bone Nut & Saddle
- Ebony fretboard with 42 style, abalone pearl snowflake inlays
- Also Paul Simon's Signature is inlayed between the 19th & 20th frets
- The interior label is signed by Paul Simon & Chris Martin. Ours is numbered 213 of 500, although we know from Sandy Trach at Martin Guitars that only 223 were actually crafted.
- Ebony belly bridge with 6 point snowflakes inlayed on the wings
- This guitar was well cared for and is in Excellent condition
- Original Martin case included, as well as a Martin guitar strap and a Martin Paul Simon pick.
