Handmade in South Africa by Marc Maingard, luthier extraordinaire!
Spectacular 45 year old Cocobolo back & sides
Cedar Top; And not just Any Cedar top. We learned from Marc that this is Italian Cedar, as opposed to Western Red Cedar. And that Italian Cedar is much more stiff. It also produces better note separation. This Cedar grows in the Alps, so in reality it is Alpine Cedar. It's like the difference between USA Sitka spruce or Alpine Spruce. It grows more slowly; It's altogether better. It will grow beautifully into a very balanced, yet always warm sounding guitar.
