- This guitar is one of the best sounding guitars for recording that we have ever had come through the shop! It sounds amazing in person as well, it has been in Robin's personal guitar collection.
- The guitar has had the bridge re-glued and back cracks repaired. Also, the delicate French polished top was played with gusto, so the French polish has been repaired. The scratches from former play are still slightly visible, but the top feels smooth as glass. This professional work was completed by Patrick's Guitar Repair in NY. The guitar is in excellent minus condition.
- Oskar Graf is German born and now resides in Canada. He is one of the premier luthiers of our time. He is known for his particular choice of wood based on tone. His craftsmanship is 2nd to none. His instruments rarely find their way onto the used market. The last we spoke with him, he said he was retiring...
- Here's an example of how Oskar describes his guitars: At the heart of my steel string guitars is an innovative bracing system that I developed in the early 80's and refined over many generations of guitars. It incorporates an additional curved bar intersecting the X-brace which allows me to adjust for each different style of guitar. This stiff and light top gives my guitars their characteristic solid but resonant feel, excellent sustain and projection. The influence of my classical guitars shows in the balance and clarity of sound. This is also echoed in the wood bindings and marquetry rosette which add to the distinctive look of my steel string guitars.
